Why ceramic tile?

I am a firm beliver in tile, For one .. It is beautiful. if done right with the right design or colors
 second they are easy to clean, compared to carpet.
 and third They lasty forever. if done right.
   the only negative I can see is that they are a bit chilly in the winter.
