SHOW ME FLOORCOVERING

Just about everything is rough on floorcovering. One of the toughest is children. Yep your kids are playing hell on your floors.      So what type of floor should you get for a child to live on.        Well carpet is the most popular with families especially with new babies. Gives them a soft landing when they fall. There will be some falling, especially when they are learning to walk.      If your worried about the messes they are going to make. Then a vinyl, maybe a laminate, this will be a little harder on their Landings but every time they spill something it will be easier to clean up.         Durability your main concern? Well hardwood, maybe tile, some laminates,   I don't recommend the "pressed cardboard" types of laminate.    For the Home Depot in Columbia Missouri. It was a very pleasant, easy deal, the guy working in the floor department is a very knowledgeable, friendly fellow. On the way to Home Depot I called them to see if  they had a certain type in stock, yep they did. The price was unbeatable, and yea u looked. They let me pay over the phone, they had it cut rolled up on a cart ready. It was not what you usually go through getting carpet from one of the big names.

tile on walls is $4 square foot. And that is the minimum some guys try to get up to $10 a square foot but $4 will be the low cost.

$2.50 square foot is what it cost to install new 3/4 inch hardwood flooring. 

You need a hardwood nailer, rubber hammer, and a saw,  miter saw and table saw are perfect, jig saw comes in handy sometimes

The basic flat rate of carpet installation is $4.00 a yard.  Or .45 cents a square foot. 

I have a carpet layer in Missouri and this is how jim got a good deal on carpet installation. He answered an ad on Craigslist. first we emailed each other about 25 times he got the trust me then we set up a deal and he got two rooms installed for $100 he was very happy I was happy it was a win win situation so you see an ad on Craigslist it might not always be bad idea to use them sometimes is good you just have to well if you do what Jim did email them 25-30 times til you know you can trust them.
